This summer Tessa played her first season of soccer in Spring Valley. There were only 2 preschool teams consisting of 8 players each, so everybody got a lot of playing time. Although Tessa was one of only 2 girls on her team, she really enjoyed playing, and I think she learned a lot. She didn't kick a goal, but she did get better as the season went on. She started off the season being scared of the ball and only wanting to smile and wave at the crowd, but by the end of the season she was wanting to get in the mix and go after the ball a little bit more...although she still wanted to make sure that we were watching her. :) I hope that she decides to stick with it and wants to play again next year.
