| Goofing around in the waiting area before it was our turn to get called back. |
Tessa underwent her very first surgical procedure today. Of course, we were more nervous than she was. It is scary handing your baby off to some stranger and allowing them to put her under and perform surgery - even if you know it is in her best interest.
She did really well, but was SUPER sleepy and a little crabby afterward. The entire procedure took about 20 minutes, but we were at the hospital for about 3 hours total. Her doctor, Dr. Lipps, said that she had some really "thick fluid" behind her eardrum. Hopefully these tubes will eliminate future ear infections, help with her balance, and jump start her speech.
Our plans for the rest of the day include lots of cuddling, lots of playing, and of course preparing for the GIANT storm heading our way! :)
