These last few weeks the weather has been unseasonably warm. At times it has almost felt like summer. Tessa loves the outdoors, so we have taking advantage of the beautiful weather. We have been doing a lot of "park hopping". Last weekend we went to three different parks, and this weekend we are planning on checking out a few more. Tessa loves to climb up the steps and slide down the slides. Her favorite slide is the tunnel slide. She also tries to climb up the rock wall, which makes for a very nervous mommy!
We have also started to get our own outdoor toys out - the tricycle, the Cozy Coup, the tote of balls, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and the sand table. Tessa's favorite so far has been the bubbles and sand table. She likes to do the bubble "myself" as she says. She has taken to spinning in a circle to utilize the wind to make the bubbles instead of blowing them herself. We just got the sand table out yesterday, and she was so excited - "My sandcastle" is what she calls the table. Last year, I made the mistake of trying to do half sand and half water - what a mess! So, this year it is all sand. She enjoyed playing in it last night while Daddy was grilling chicken, and she actually did a pretty good job of following the rules for the sand table - 1. No eating the sand. 2. No throwing the sand. 3. Keep the sand in the table. Fingers crossed this continues!
Tess has outgrown her swing set from last year. So, we are now on the look out for some sort of play set for the back yard. We don't have a huge yard, so it can't be too big. Until then, we will be the family at the park hanging out by the tube slides!
